CELEBRITY DESIGNER TURNED REALITY STAR

Proclaimed for breaking the symmetrical barrier when it comes to structure and his versatile denim designs. Mahjingwong has made his way early on into the epicenter of what being an artist is all about ! Project Runway Star and Celebrity Designer favorite MahjingWong sat down with me A-Listers and gives the dish on the season 15 and how he got there ! (Not to mention like me he’s a fellow Philadelphian so you know he’s packing some major SWAGG ! First lets get to back to how it all began for him.

Early in his career Mahjingwong was able to capitalize and expand from gaining entry in the reality tv star designer entourages . This gave Mahjingwong a competitive advantage and he attributes that era of his career to be the foundation of his success thus far...

In A Denim DAZE

Its no secret that FALL IS HERE ! Which means spring trends are making its way through runways all across the globe. Spring Projection are not a factor for celebrity designer Mahjingwong . His concern lies heavily in surpassing trends and making true art.

“One thing I love about fashion is the constant change...So I wanna know what I can put out that will surpass this season, My brain goes before time.”.

Since were talking about trends ! Denim has always been and remains to be lead in the HALL OF FAME!

This AW16 & SS17 Denim is back in epic proportions !

Bringing in some vintage vibrations with premium painted denim, blown out bell bottoms, skirts, and distressed saturday night skinnys. Minimalist are taking center stage this season as the trend elite and Im elated. (Its the best way to go daily a-listers!)

Are we all loving the return of Project Runway this season, or what ?

So fresh, so new, and filled with FAMEworthy moments !

Its safe to say that since its original release in 2004 we have time after time lushed over project runways seasonal return! I was in the 6th grade and I would race home to get to my tivo and catch up from what I missed while at cheer practice .

To date my guilty pleasure is tuning into this season and some old time favorites on Roku ! Project Runway has captivated the attention of millions and remains the lead fashion reality show contest. Mahjing like us here at FAME is a long time fan as well “I've watched project runway since season one and been a fan of every season”

Mahjing is humbled to be on the Season 15 team after a long term relationship with the reality television franchise. This is his fourth time applying and since God’s timing is most devine he is NOW more ready then ever ! Catapulting from the airwaves to your couch and promoting his brand even further are some major highlights for Mahjingwong this year.

What is Mahjingwong crafting aside from his television debut ? The plan is to capitalize off his reality tv career expand his brand as a fashion ambassador and artist through television. “I feel like my peak is starting to happen...Im starting to like television so Im definitely pursuing more television work". Mahjingwong also wasted no time to pursue his ultimate goal! Apprenticeship for newbies in the industry “Ultimately I want to be the person to open up doors for other independent designer....there aren't enough hands reaching down and pulling up" He’s doing just that, at philadelphia fashion week SS17 season Mahjingwong alongside Founder Kevin Parker emotionally embraced "next up" designer Aquilla Savoy. He not only received sponsorship for supplies for a new collection but a hip to hip appretenceship where mahjingwong agrees to counsel and enhance the Aquilla Savoy brand.

Designer , Artist , Television Star, Philanthropist, Mahjingwong wears many hats but the one he is most truly proud of is Mentor and Father. (His daughter is the cutest little A-Lister on the planet)
